Growing up human

I yelled at my son for yelling at me. Yes, I had to stop myself, laugh, give my kid a kiss and apologize.

Pictures

I love to take pictures. I take a lot of pictures of my kids, probably annoyingly so. But I love my pictures. They're memories of moments we can never get back. I often look through my old pictures. Even if I don't print them and wish I had more... Why didn't I get that shot or check it and get a better one. Man, I wish I took video....
I have never looked back and thought I took too many pictures of something. And as much as I love taking scenery, it's the pictures of my loved ones that I enjoy most.

I love my memories. Take a picture. Remember the moment.

Pictures

Someone asked him if he carried a picture of his grandson. He said no. The guy said why not. He said I made a deal with my grandson. I'll start carrying his picture when he starts carrying mine.

Spilled milk

You don't cry after anything that won't cry after you.

Problems

If you got money for a problem and it can be solved with money, you don't have a problem.

Moments are precious

Credit goes to my mom for this... Savor the moment. You think that a certain routine or time will always persist. But they don't. The daily chat with someone or weekly coffee that is special or routine may not last forever.

Myself I've recognized this pattern and it has broken my heart. Weekly coffee at Corado cafe with my mom or sister, my weekly ride with the guys, giving my son a bath and tucking him in for bed.

Enjoy and relish each moment. Gloss over the negatives... For this moment will never repeat and you won't have it back. Kid whining, enjoy it... You will miss it one day.

Going somewhere

My grandfather used to say whenever he was leaving, "I'm going so I have someplace to come back from."
